The product was announced last year around this time and made waves in most of the game blogs I read. I commented on it here: http://www.muchlessthanthree.com/?p=283 but mostly just to make the point that I didn’t see how the tech was going to work. Now that I’ve seen the price, the tech doesn’t matter anyway… :P

There’s another competitor who’s trying to do basically the same thing via Flash, in browser. No price announcements that I’m aware of for that one yet, tho.

Wow, a Mark Ruffalo movie I haven’t seen. Thanks for that.

I’ve heard good things about Fantastic Mr Fox, but still haven’t been to see it. George Clooney’s having a bumper good season, what with Up in the Air sitting on 90% (and Mr Fox at 93%) on Rotten Tomatoes.

Cool photos. Oh and come to Canberra. It’s only cool feature (apart from the Science & Tech Centre) is the zoo. You can go into the cheetah’s cage and pat one. I totally want to do that one day.

Yeah, I recently saw an ad for that; if I wasn’t already the happy owner of an Intuos, I’d probably grab one. I figure they’ll integrate the touch tech into the Intuos and Cintiq lines a couple years down the road. Maybe by then I’ll be able to rationalize a purchase :)

You make me wish I had one, even though I totally don’t want one. Ah toys. My next toy of choice will likely be the Wacom Bamboo Fun (the one that does pen and touch). Trying to win one, but luckily if I don’t they are not too pricey.

I can empathize – sometimes I want nothing more than accessible music – but I strongly feel that it’s worth fighting against that tendency. Just enough to make sure you get at least a handful ‘challenging’ products a year. This may sound bizarre (and any attempt to explain/justify it would be worthy of an entire post) but I think it’s an important aspect for expanding and improving your taste in media, and perhaps art in general.

I used to have more patience for music that was an acquired taste, but I find myself more reluctant now and inclined to stick to artists who ready-to-listen without working for it. I suspect what you’re talking about is a little different to the artists I’m thinking of (Bjork, the White Stripes) but it does sound like just as much work. What do you think?
